I am a teller of old tales. History, folklore, military, and more. Mostly covering Pakistan, my homeland, but also the Great White North, where I am currently settled.
This was quite the shocker – a very very very pleasant one. It was different in so many ways. For one thing, as always, I went ga-ga over the handwriting. And then there was the narration. It would never have worked English. The spirit is lost in translation.
I would disagree with Abdullah Hussein though. Friends become dunya ke sab se ache log by default once they enter this non-verbal, unwritten contract.

I am glad it was taken to be worth reading, and thank you for enlightening on the beauty of friendship, nicely stated.
